Homecoming is an invitation to slow down and listen. Listen, with all your inner senses, to your experience of this present moment. Hold space for what you find. Respond with skill, kindness, and compassion. Such is the way of nature, and you and nature are one. The Homecoming practice is rooted in the philosophy of Daoist Flow. With its heart in somatic yoga, Daoist Flow weaves together elements of qigong, mindfulness, slow flow and restorative yoga. Harmonized with nature’s cycles, the practice as a whole responds to the natural ebb and flow of the seasons, and the cycles of light and darkness both within nature and within the human collective. Paced to embrace both movement and stillness, engaging body, mind and heart, Daoist Flow points the way towards a harmonious alignment between our inner and outer worlds. Classes are suitable to all levels of experience and all body/mind types. Full permission is given to rest or move as needed, utilize props, or to receive the practice entirely as a visualization while the body remains in physical stillness.
